We are seeking an experienced Trade Finance Manager to join our client, an international trading company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing trade finance operations, ensuring efficient financial transactions, and supporting the company's international trade activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of trade finance transactions.
- Collaborate internally to ensure compliance with trade finance policies and procedures.
- Manage the issuance and negotiation of letters of credit and bank guarantees.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Handle documentation for import/export transactions, including invoices and certificates of origin.
- Ensure adherence to trade compliance regulations and industry standards.
- Cultivate strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Negotiate terms and conditions for trade finance facilities.
- Identify and assess financial risks in trade transactions.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and internal controls.
- Conduct financial analysis of trade transactions, assessing their financial viability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (procurement, logistics, legal) to facilitate smooth trade operations.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders such as suppliers and trading partners.
- Stay updated on international trade finance trends, regulations, and market conditions.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance trade finance strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in trade finance roles, preferably within the mining or natural resources sector.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, letters of credit, and bank guarantees.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with financial risk management and compliance practices.
- Familiar with Eastern Europe and Central Asia languages and cultures.
