Supply Chain Coordinator (Procurement & Inventory / Food & Beverage / Cost Management) – Sint Maarten, Dutch Caribbean

Job Description

GateSource HR Caribbean Division is partnering with a key client to identify and recruit a Supply Chain Coordinator who is responsible for managing efficient, cost-effective procurement and contract management for all necessary equipment, materials, goods, and services. This role ensures compliance with the company standards, legal requirements, and ethical practices, aligning with cost management principles.

  • Use analytical tools to evaluate supplier data and organizational needs.
  • Generate reports and forecasts to support procurement planning and decision-making.
  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, segmentations, risks, and opportunities, contributing to informed sourcing strategies.
  • Implement cost control methods to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Document processes and produce monthly cost reports on supplies.
  • Plan and manage inventory with both primary and secondary suppliers to maintain optimal levels.
  • Ensure timely ordering of inventory according to established procedures.
  • Source, assess, and negotiate optimal purchasing options, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
  • Perform periodic evaluations of vendors/suppliers to assess pricing, availability, and competitiveness.
  • Identify and engage with potential new suppliers, fostering strong relationships.
  • Test and document product samples from potential vendors for quality assurance.
  • Request and consolidate quotations or tenders, evaluating options to recommend suitable suppliers.
  • Document procurement processes and ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal standards.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing procurement policies and educate staff on procurement guidelines.
  • Participate in stock-taking and inventory exercises as needed.
  • Compile and analyze procurement data for internal reporting and process improvements.

  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a focus on Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, ideally within the Food and Beverage or Airline/Catering industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with a focus on accountability, inclusivity, and service excellence.
  • Must have a Dutch Passport
