Requirements
The minimum requirements for this position include:
- P.E. license in Texas or Florida
- a minimum of 5+ years residential design experience
The general responsibilities of the Senior Structural Engineer involve the design and structural analysis for single-family, multi-family, retail and light commercial structures. These responsibilities include:
- Experience using industry standard building design software (RAM Structural Systems, Concept, RAM Elements,
etc.) - Understanding of building structure design (steel, concrete, wood, precast, etc.)
- Comprehensive knowledge of local building codes and requirements
- Proven experience creating structural drawings/details in AutoCAD, Revit, similar drafting programs
- Knowledge of American Institute of Steel
Construction (AISC) steel manual, American Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318,
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7, and International Building Codes
(IBC) - Broad expertise in other disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical and geotechnical surveying
