Job Description:
Looking for a mid-to-senior level tax professional to
work in a Public Accounting firm in Hollywood, FL. The ideal candidate has at
least 3 years of experience working as a preparer, along with review work.
The ideal candidate is expected to maintain existing relationships
with clients, while performing assigned tasks. The ideal candidate will have
prior experience and will be able to perform some tasks with minimal
assistance. The candidate will be able to lead and guide one or more tax professionals,
instruct them with work to be performed, review their work, and direct
necessary revisions.
· Perform tax assignments under the direction of
Manager or Partner.
· Review and edit other Tax Professional’s to hand
off a tax return or an accounting product to a manager or partner with minimal
errors.
· Prepare complex tax returns.
· Communicate with tax authorities regarding
notices and other matters on behalf of clients.
· Present, and propose opportunities and tax
planning ideas to Manager or Partner.
· Assist in planning and scheduling client
engagements.
· Meet time constraints and client deadlines.
· Use technology to learn, share knowledge and
enhance service.
· Maintain an educational program to further
enhance skills and proficiency.
· Contribute to the growth and further improvement
of the firm through participation in meetings.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting,
Taxation or Business Administration.
· CPA, CPA candidate or plans to sit for CPA exam
within 2 years.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a
public accounting firm(s).
· Advanced knowledge of complex tax concepts and
application to client situations.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products – Word,
Excel, Access and Outlook.
· CCH Axcess is preferred.
