Job Description

A client, based in New York, is looking for a Senior Tax Manager/Director to join their Research and Development/Tax Credits and Incentives team on a REMOTE basis. This is a Certified Public Accounting and Advisory firm that provides their expertise on an array of accounting and consulting services, including tax planning and audits to acquisitions and financial revamping. This firm has been consistently rated "Best Place to Work in NYC" for over 10 years.


The Senior Tax Manager/Tax Director will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Conducting research and development (R+D) tax credit consulting/project management
  • Managing tax credit studies
  • Building and maintaining client relationships while delivering tax credit services
  • Engaging in business development
  • Drafting opinion letters, requests and responses to IRS
  • Performing engagement management activities including analysis, invoice and engagement setup



Requirements


The minimum requirements for this position include:

  • 8-15 years of recent experience conducting/managing R&D Tax Credit consulting projects in a public accounting firm (preferrably big 4), large corporation or law firm
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • Licensed CPA or JD/LLM
  • Experience maintaining client engagements
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive
  • Experience mentoring and training staff-level team members
