An established accounting firm, located in Orange County, California, is looking to hire a full-time Senior Tax Accountant. This firm has been in business for 25+ years and promotes a professional and family-friendly environment, with an emphasis on faith-based principles and values.
The Senior Tax Accountant will report to the Director of Tax and will be responsible for preparation and review of all personal, corporate, partnership and trust tax returns. This person will be responsible for contributing a high level of support and training for all tax associates, but will also be required to build and manage client relationships.
Requirements
Essential job duties for this position are:
- Reviewing individual returns, bookkeeping projects, payroll and sales taxes prepared by tax associates and interns
- Utilitizing client input and data, firm-specific software, and industry knowledge to produce accurate tax-related documents
- Coordinating and completing individual, business and fiduciary tax returns with minimal supervision
- Create and build client relationships and maintain those records in the areas of bookkeeping, sales taxes, payroll taxes and other tax-related filings
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
The minimum qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- Minimum 5+ years of prior experience
- Minimal local travel
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and extended hours during peak busy seasons

- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft, QuickBooks, and other firm software
