Senior Project Development Manager (Electrical / Renewable / Power) - Caribbean Job In George Town Cayman Islands

GateSource HR Caribbean Division is partnering with a key client in the Caribbean to recruit a Senior Project Develpment Manager to work on critical and exciting energy transition projects!

The role will entail:

Overseeing the preparation and presentation of commercial proposals that are sound, financially viable, and ready for board and regulatory review, including the creation of necessary documents, budgets, business cases, and board papers aligned with investment requirements.

Conducting research into new business opportunities, especially in emerging technologies, to expand the company's investment scope.

Preparing responses to competitive bids for business development.

Leading conceptual, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies for key development projects to ensure they are commercially feasible and technically robust.

Identifying and advancing renewable energy generation opportunities, maintaining a dynamic portfolio that maximizes commercial value.

Managing relationships with regulatory bodies, customers, landowners, contractors, suppliers, and public interest groups to uphold the company’s brand and reputation throughout the development process.

Directing the planning and management of land rights acquisition, permitting, and approval processes, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements.

Assisting in formulating short- and long-term strategies for facility expansion, upgrades, and generation planning.

Providing guidance to the Project Development team to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in renewable energy and transitional energy project development within the electric utility industry.

A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Professional engineering certification (Chartered/registered engineer) and PMI Project Management Professional certification (preferred).
