GateSource HR is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Asset Reliability Specialist to oversee and enhance the performance of our equipment assets. This role involves assessing asset conditions, supporting maintenance activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving reliability, troubleshooting failures, and contributing to strategic decisions around asset lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Monitoring & Assessment: Review and evaluate asset conditions regularly to ensure optimal performance. Initiate corrective actions as needed based on assessments.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Collect daily operational data, monitor system performance, and provide guidelines for necessary repairs. Collaborate with service teams for system maintenance.
- Collaboration with Sales & Installation Teams: Work alongside the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies, while also providing hands-on support during system installations at customer sites.
- Maintenance Reviews: Participate in reviews of asset maintenance requirements to ensure all systems are running efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Performance Monitoring: Track equipment performance, identify downtime patterns, and evaluate failure trends to drive improvements.
- Root Cause Analysis & Troubleshooting: Assist in failure investigations and conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues, proposing actionable solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Reliability Improvement: Support the planning and execution of reliability improvement projects, working to enhance the lifespan and efficiency of assets.
- Lifecycle Cost Analysis: Contribute to life cycle costing analyses to inform financial decisions, including end-of-life asset decisions (repair vs. replace).
- Collaboration with Diagnostics Team: Provide valuable feedback to the diagnostics programming team on system reliability to inform ongoing improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile and/or fixed plant maintenance, with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Strong experience in monitoring techniques and preventative maintenance principles.
- Expertise in vibration analysis, lubrication, and oil analysis.
- Proven experience in asset management strategies and root cause analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
