GateSource HR LATAM Mining Recruitment is partnering with a leading global environmental, engineering, and construction management consulting firm specializing in the mining industry to identify and recruit a Project Manager with experience in the construction and management of tailings storage facilities (TSF) and tailings dams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing all aspects of tailings dam projects, from design and construction to operation and maintenance.
This role requires expertise in geotechnical engineering, water management, and environmental compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise terrain modeling and utilize Autodesk Civil 3D software to produce construction design drawings.
- Design mine infrastructure components such as tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads, and waste storage facilities.
- Collaborate effectively within a team and independently to ensure timely issue resolution and project completion.
- Prepare technical specifications and engineering design reports as project deliverables.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and adeptness at both collaborative and independent work.
- Manage projects, oversee staff, and monitor costs and schedules.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Assist with marketing efforts and client interactions.
