GateSource HR Mining Recruitment is partnering with an exploration and development company to find a senior executive and join them as the President.
The President will serve as the senior operational and commercial leader of the company, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring the successful execution of its critical minerals’ projects. Working closely with the CEO, the President will translate strategy into action, drive capital raising efforts, and lead investor and stakeholder relations to build long-term value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership
- Direct the day-to-day operations across exploration, development, and corporate functions.
- Implement the company’s strategic plan and ensure delivery of project milestones, budgets, and KPIs.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
- Technical & Project Oversight
- Provide high-level geological and technical input to exploration and development programs.
- Assess new project opportunities and partnerships in critical minerals.
- Guide the preparation of technical disclosures and reports (NI 43-101, JORC, etc.).
- Capital Raising & Investor Relations
- Lead fundraising initiatives (equity, debt, strategic partners) to support corporate and project growth.
- Manage day-to-day investor relations, roadshows, and communications with analysts and shareholders.
- Develop and deliver compelling investor presentations in collaboration with the CEO.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the company with government agencies, Indigenous groups, local communities, and industry bodies.
- Negotiate agreements and permits to advance projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in mineral exploration and development, with significant exposure to critical minerals.
- Proven leadership at the executive level (President, COO, VP Exploration/Development) within a publicly listed or growth-stage mining company.
- Track record of raising capital and managing investor relations for junior or mid-tier mining companies.
- Understanding of project economics, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and multi-jurisdictional operations.
- Strong operational and commercial acumen.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, boards, governments, and communities.
- Leadership with integrity and commitment to ESG principles.
