About the Position:
We are looking for a Financial Controller for an IT
services firm based in the D.C. metro area, specializing in accounting software. As
the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and
optimizing our financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining
accurate financial records, conducting thorough analyses, and ensuring
compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in GAAP analysis, experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite,
proficiency in auditing practices, and familiarity with international tax
filings. This is a hybrid position with 2 to 3 in-office days,
so the ideal candidate will be able to travel to Reston, VA each week.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the financial operations of the firm, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of financial data to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of audit requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risk.
- Manage international tax filings and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Accounting
- 5+ Years of Accounting Experience within the Software/Tech industry
- CPA Preferred
- NetSuite or similar ERP Experience
- GAAP Analysis Experience
- Previous Experience with Auditing
- International Tax Filing Experience
- Strong Understanding of ASC 606 Standards
