GateSource HR Recruitment is partnering with a market leader in manufacturing with operations in different sectors within the country.
To support its growth, we are looking for a seasoned Finance Manager to join their team in Suriname; where their finance expertise will be used to oversee financial operations and manage the growth the finance team.
Role Overview:
- Conduct financial management responsibilities such as generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends, and evaluating the company's financial well-being.
- Manage and oversee the finance department's operations and growth, which includes reviewing team performance, recruiting, training, coaching, policy creation and review, budgeting, and conducting regular assessments of financial processes.
- Supervise the preparation of periodic account reconciliations, ensure compliance with tax and financial reporting standards, and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Lead planning and forecasting efforts with our business partners to attain business and company objectives. Offer financial guidance to the executive management team.
- Take an active role in implementing changes to procedures, policies, and systems to support business expansion, compliance, and scaling.
Requirements
- A master's or bachelor's degree in financial management or management accounting is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is necessary.
- Demonstrated familiarity with financial reporting standards such as IFRS, tax regulations, and industry legislation is essential.
- Strong abilities in budgeting, forecasting, and accounting are a must.
- Proficiency in HSEQ and risk management is expected.
- Superior leadership, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills are highly valued.
- Proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software is a plus.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite tools (such as Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is a prerequisite.
- Fluent in Dutch is preferred
