GateSource HR is looking for a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our clients team in Guyana. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics and electrical systems, capable of diagnosing and resolving issues with control panels, power boards, electrical logic, and electronic control circuits. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with machinery mechanics, hydraulic systems, engines, and powertrains. This role involves visiting customers across Guyana and potentially other locations such as Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, and St. Lucia, diagnosing machinery problems both in the field and at our warehouse, and providing training to users or operators as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations across Guyana and possibly other countries.
- Diagnose and resolve machinery shutdowns efficiently.
- Interpret and utilize electrical and hydraulic drawings and diagrams.
- Conduct training sessions for users or operators on machine operation and maintenance.
- Use appropriate tools to assess and diagnose component damage accurately.
- Maintain, diagnose, repair, or replace control panels, power boards, electrical/electronic logic, and electronic control circuits.
- Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair various mechanical systems and equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, conveyors, and mobile equipment.
- Assist with operating functions as required.
Requirements
- Associate degree in electronic engineering, electromechanics, or mechatronics.
- Previous experience and expertise in electronics or mechatronics for servicing construction and mining machinery.
- Strong aptitude and competency in electronics and mechanics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and fast-learning approach.
- Good organizational and time management skills with a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license for private cars and pickup trucks.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not essential).
