Key Responsibilities

Manage the design, operation, and monitoring of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) to ensure safe and compliant performance.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and corporate environmental standards.

Implement and oversee cyanide management and detoxification systems in accordance with industry best practices.

Monitor and manage water quality, seepage control, dust suppression, and rehabilitation programs.

Develop and oversee tailings deposition strategies for reprocessed or newly generated materials.

Lead and support environmental impact assessments (EIA), monitoring programs, and regulatory reporting.

Ensure alignment with Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) and other international tailings management guidelines.

Coordinate with engineering, operations, and environmental teams to maintain safe and sustainable tailings and environmental management practices.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

10+ years of experience in environmental management, tailings management, or mine waste management.

Experience with TSF design, monitoring systems, and operational management.

Knowledge of cyanide management practices and mining environmental regulations.

Familiarity with international tailings standards, including GISTM, is preferred.

Experience in gold mining or mineral processing operations is advantageous.
