Our industry leading client is looking to add an Environmental Engineer to their Arizona location. They are seeking an individual that can work independently and proactively, overseeing projects from start to completion. The engineer must be expertly familiar with environmental regulations, including water and air quality permitting, compliance and requirements for EPA and ADEQ Protection.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/COMPETENCIES:
- Maintain a high knowledge level and understanding of applicable environmental regulations, safety regulations, and policies and procedures. Ensuring that regulations are upheld.
- Give compliance recommendations and technical evaluation for the following areas: Environmental Regulations/Permit Requirements including local, federal, state levels.
- Assess environmental test results, laboratory data, and procedures for compliance within established regulations and permit requirements.
- Manage waste for remediation, sampling, packaging, and correctly package and labeling.
- Maintain applicable regulation and permit reporting, renewal and related document requirements as required by law.
- Complete reporting and documentation of site compliance and field activities.
- Support troubleshooting activities on plant environmental systems and equipment.
- Research and assemble reports on the areas of status, risk assessments, site characterization, groundwater sampling and recovery.
- Lead EHS incident investigations.
- Support all troubleshooting activities on plant environmental systems and equipment.
- Applicants must be able to work as a member of a team as well as an individual.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Be able to compile and present reports that include tabular, numerical, and graphical aspects and analysis of environmental data.
- Execute regular audits and inspections of facility operations that impact environmental compliance.
- Monitor and measure environmental management performance in accordance with EPA and other regulatory standards
Requirements
- MUST be located in the United States of America, and authorized to work in the USA (No sponsorship is provided for this role)
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related Environmental Engineering field.
- 7+ years of full-time environmental compliance and professional environmental experience.
- Extensive experience with and expertly navigating TSCA, NEPA, EPCRA, CWA, CAA, CERCLA, RCRA, and/or SDWA and related applicable regulations
