GateSource HR Caribbean Division is collaborating with a strategic client to recruit a Electrical Standards Engineer in the Caymand Island who will be responsible for:
- Conduct research, design, and development of new and existing materials, methods, and equipment standards related to Transmission and Distribution (T&D) systems. This includes Substation HV/MV equipment and power transformers, applying principles from electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering disciplines.
- Develop and maintain standards for the design and construction of overhead and underground voltage lines (primary and secondary), ensuring compliance with NESC, CSA, ANSI, IEEE, or other North American standards.
- Oversee the creation, updating, and management of T&D equipment standards, including those for Substation HV/MV equipment and power transformers. This involves supporting the Standards Committee by maintaining a centralized, structured database containing version-controlled standards, meeting records, action plans, and other relevant documents.
- Lead and manage projects aimed at upgrading and maintaining T&D and production systems to align with organizational goals.
- Review and authenticate engineering designs for standard and non-standard applications to meet the requirements of regulations, laws, or external agency approvals.
- Offer engineering support for customer projects managed by Energy Operations. Provide technical guidance and expertise to the Energy Operations team, as well as support for T&D-related JSAC and Work Methods committees.
