E & I Technician (Electrical / Instrumentation / Mining) - Michigan

• Utilize voltmeters, ammeters, meggers, and related testing devices.
  
• Conduct voltage testing on electrical equipment up to 25KV.
  
• Perform proper lockout/tag-out procedures for equipment maintenance.
  
• Execute preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on all electrical systems, including instrumentation and Rockwell Distributed Control Systems.
  
• Maintain generators, motors, conveyors, and other electrical machinery.
  
• Install, repair, and replace equipment such as relays, switches, supervisory controls, and indicating and recording devices.
  
• Prepare work orders and complete necessary documentation.
  
• Maintain telephones, paging systems, and mine radio systems.
  
• Operate forklifts, man lifts, pick-up trucks, and related service vehicles.
  
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
  

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience working with electrical and instrumentation systems.
  
• Preferred knowledge of Rockwell, with experience in Allen Bradley and Siemens also acceptable.
  
• Strong understanding and application of mathematical and electrical formulas.
  
• Excellent communication skills.
