GateSource HR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced E&I (Electrical and Instrumentation) Technician to join our client's team. This vital role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. - Utilize voltmeters, ammeters, meggers, and related testing devices.
- Conduct voltage testing on electrical equipment up to 25KV.
- Perform proper lockout/tag-out procedures for equipment maintenance.
- Execute preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on all electrical systems, including instrumentation and Rockwell Distributed Control Systems.
- Maintain generators, motors, conveyors, and other electrical machinery.
- Install, repair, and replace equipment such as relays, switches, supervisory controls, and indicating and recording devices.
- Prepare work orders and complete necessary documentation.
- Maintain telephones, paging systems, and mine radio systems.
- Operate forklifts, man lifts, pick-up trucks, and related service vehicles.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience working with electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Preferred knowledge of Rockwell, with experience in Allen Bradley and Siemens also acceptable.
- Strong understanding and application of mathematical and electrical formulas.
- Excellent communication skills.
