Position Overview: As the Country Manager reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to our client's operations in Haiti. This role demands a French-speaking versatile professional with a track record in operations management in remote locations, a deep understanding of the business landscape in the Caribbean, and the ability to navigate diverse challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
- Implement effective processes to optimize resource allocation and utilization.
2. Financial Management:
- Take charge of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for the Caribbean region.
- Implement financial strategies to enhance profitability and sustainability.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, partners, and local communities.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and inspire a diverse team, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to enhance team performance.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with operations in Haiti and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regional regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Construction, Engineering, Business
Administration, Management or a related field. - Proven track record in operations management, with a minimum of 3 years
of relevant experience. - Understanding of the Francophone Caribbean business environment.
- Financial acumen, budget management, staff training and logistics
management experience. - Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Previous experience in a hardship environment
- Fluent in French and English, Spanish is a plus
