GateSource HR Caribbean Division is partnering with a key client to identify and recruit a Cost and Inventory Manager to coordinate cost-related activities, develop and organize cost systems, oversee cost analysis, and provide monthly reports on product profitability and inventories.
- Develop
Cost Control Systems: - Create
efficient systems to track, analyze, and manage product and operational
costs. - Ensure
the accuracy and consistency of cost-related data and methodologies. - Monitor
Inventory and Conduct Inspections: - Visit
branches and airport concessions regularly to inspect product quality,
expiration dates, and inventory turnover. - Compare
physical inventory data with system records to identify discrepancies. - Inventory
and Cost Analysis: - Conduct
monthly and ad hoc cost analysis, ensuring data accuracy to support
strategic decision-making. - Record
and evaluate raw material costs, inventory valuations, and cost
variations against budgets. - Physical
Inventory Management: - Oversee
periodic physical inventory counts. - Reconcile
physical counts with system records to maintain high standards of
inventory accuracy. - Collaborate
with Cross-Functional Teams: - Coordinate
with warehouse, purchasing, and finance departments to ensure seamless
integration of cost and inventory data. - Develop
efficient workflows that align with the company’s financial objectives
and inventory management requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
- System
Development and Maintenance: - Set
up and refine inventory and cost-tracking systems, focusing on high
accuracy and ease of use. - Adhere
to Finance and Administration Guidelines: - Follow
protocols from the General Management of Administration and Finance to
ensure compliance and support the company's profit targets. - Continuous
Improvement: - Identify
opportunities to improve cost and inventory management practices,
implementing solutions that drive operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration, Public Accounting, Finance, or a
related field. - Experience: At
least 2 years of experience in cost management, inventory control, or
financial analysis in public or private sectors. - Technical
Skills: - Advanced
proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Familiarity
with inventory management software. - Core

planning skills, attention to detail, strong numerical ability, and
