We are seeking a skilled
and experienced Core Drilling Operator to join our exploration team. The
successful candidate will be responsible for operating core drilling equipment,
ensuring the accurate collection of core samples, and maintaining the highest
safety and quality standards. This role is critical in supporting our
exploration efforts and advancing our understanding of geological formations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate core drilling rigs safely and efficiently
to extract core samples. - Adhere to all safety procedures, identify
hazards, report incidents, and work safely at all times. - Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of
core samples. - Perform routine maintenance and inspections on
drilling equipment. - Maintain accurate records of drilling activities,
including daily reports and logs. - Assist in the setup and dismantling of drilling
rigs and related equipment. - Collaborate with geologists and other team
members to achieve exploration objectives. - Monitor drilling parameters and make adjustments
as necessary to optimize performance. - Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as
they arise. - Ensure compliance with environmental and
regulatory requirements during drilling operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical
training in drilling operations preferred. - Proven experience as a Core Drilling Operator in
mineral exploration, specifically in gold. - Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and
teamwork. - Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform
routine maintenance on drilling equipment. - Knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and
safety practices. - Ability to work in remote and challenging
environments. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
