GateSource HR is seeking a talented SCADA Controls Engineer to join a dynamic team in the Caribbean and play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and integration of a state-of-the-art SCADA/EMS/GMS system. Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development, installation, and implementation of a new SCADA/EMS/GMS system, contributing your expertise to enhance its performance, reliability, and functionality.
- Participale in the delivery of engaging and effective training sessions to empower team members with the knowledge and skills needed to excel with the SCADA/EMS/GMS system.
- Assist in the integration of the new SCADA/EMS/GMS system seamlessly with corporate applications, ensuring smooth data flow and system interoperability.
- Collaborate with top-tier vendors to resolve system issues promptly, while also addressing user queries to maintain operational excellence.
- Provide crucial support to Operations, particularly in outage diagnostics, to minimize downtime and maximize system efficiency.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to contribute to the success of the team and organization.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field that showcases your strong foundation in engineering principles.
- Professional Engineer Designation (current or in progress), demonstrating your commitment to excellence in the field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience working with SCADA, RTU, PLC, and control systems, specifically in power generation, transmission, or distribution.
- In-depth knowledge of data communication protocols, networking equipment, and computer operating systems, enabling you to navigate complex system environments.
