We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to
oversee the full execution of a mining project in Pará, ensuring its successful
delivery within budget and schedule. This role will report directly to senior
leadership and will be responsible for managing key contractors, including the
EPCM firm, mining and earthmoving contractors, and the internal project team.
The Construction Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for project
stakeholders and executive management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead
and manage all aspects of project construction, ensuring timely completion
within approved budget and scope. - Oversee
and coordinate EPCM firms, contractors, and internal teams to ensure
efficient execution. - Serve
as the primary liaison between leadership and all parties involved in the
project - Ensure
adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards. - Manage
contract negotiations, execution, and performance oversight. - Provide
strategic leadership, fostering collaboration among all stakeholders. - Monitor
progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Requirements
7+ years’ of experience in managing mining/mineral
construction projects from conception to completion
Previous experience with working on mining or infrastructure
projects in remote regions of the Amazon is REQUIRED
Strong technical background and direct experience in
resource extraction in gold mining
Proven track record in managing construction contractors and
EPCM firms.
Experience in successfully delivering fully commissioned
operating projects.
Proficiency in contract negotiation and management.
Ability to attend meetings and/or speak with all levels of
personnel to provide milestone updates, issues or concerns about the project
Strong leadership skills to guide multidisciplinary teams
and align project stakeholders.
Fluent in English and Portuguese
Location & Travel Requirements:
The role requires residency in Para with periodic travel to
the project site in the initial phases.
