We are looking for a Claims Manager to lead and oversee the claims function across St. Maarten, Saba, St. Eustatius, and Montserrat, ensuring the timely, fair, and accurate settlement of insurance claims. This role combines strong technical claims expertise with leadership responsibility, operational oversight, and a focus on service excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of claims handlers and adjusters to drive performance and continuous improvement.

Oversee daily claims operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Manage complex, legal, and escalated claims matters, serving as the final point of resolution when required.

Monitor reserves, settlements, salvage, subrogation, and recovery processes to maintain financial control and accuracy.

Track and report on key performance indicators including turnaround times, loss ratios, reserve adequacy, and customer satisfaction.

Support audits, reinsurance reporting, and ensure proper documentation management.

Collaborate with underwriting and other departments to ensure integrated and effective service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or
professional certification in Insurance, Business, Law, Finance, or a
related field. - Minimum of three (3) years’
experience in a similar or related role within the insurance industry. - Strong technical knowledge of
motor, property, liability, and other insurance lines. - Sound understanding of claims
processes, procedures, and related systems. - Familiarity with insurance
markets, regulatory frameworks, and relevant insurance-related legal
decisions. - High level of integrity,
professionalism, and attention to detail. - Strong analytical,
problem-solving, financial assessment, and data interpretation skills. - Effective time management and
organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple
tasks.
