We are hiring a skilled Propulsion Expert to lead and support propulsion system repairs, upgrades, and installations across ship repair and drydock operations. This role is ideal for a specialist with strong experience in shaftline works, propulsion troubleshooting, and technical supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair propulsion and drivetrain system faults
- Lead inspection and repair of shaftline, bearings, seals, couplings, and stern tube systems
- Support propeller and steering system repairs and installation activities
- Perform alignment checks and support commissioning and trials
- Plan and supervise propulsion works during drydock operations
- Coordinate with engineering, machining, and electrical teams
- Produce technical reports, inspection findings, and job close-out documents
Requirements
- Qualification in Marine Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5+ years experience in propulsion repair and shipyard operations
- Strong understanding of alignment, tolerances, and marine propulsion systems
- Ability to lead technicians and manage critical repair scopes
