Job Description

GateSource HR is proud to support a leading player in the minerals industry in their search for a Sales Manager to oversee commercial activities and manage key customer relationships across South America. This is a critical role focused on driving sales performance, managing client accounts, and supporting the business with technical insights in mineral processing equipment, especially in the areas of mineral processing solutions and technologies and fixed equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow sales in South America, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and account retention.
  • Support and execute sales strategies to expand market presence and increase revenue in the commodities and mineral processing sectors.
  • Maintain regular communication with key clients, building strong and lasting business relationships.
  • Identify new business opportunities by staying informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Work closely with the Regional Manager and technical team to deliver customized solutions to clients.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, site visits, and client meetings across the region (up to 50% travel).
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and client interactions using CRM tools.


Requirements

  • Degree in Mining, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in technical sales or account management within the mining or mineral processing sector.
  • Solid understanding of mineral processing equipment, particularly fixed plant equipment and technologies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a results-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a strong asset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across South America.
