We are seeking a skilled and motivated Miller to join our client’s flour milling operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and optimizing milling processes to ensure consistent production of high-quality flour while maintaining efficiency, safety, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor milling equipment (roller mills, sifters, purifiers)
- Adjust mill settings to achieve target extraction rates and product quality
- Conduct routine quality checks on wheat, flour, and by-products
- Monitor product flow and troubleshoot process deviations
- Maintain accurate production and operational records
- Support preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
- Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP) and hygiene standards
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize performance
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Milling, Food Processing, or related field
- Experience in flour milling or grain processing, minimum 5 years
- Understanding of wheat milling processes and equipment
- Basic knowledge of quality control and food safety systems
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Attention to detail and quality focus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights or weekends if required
