We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience to oversee key accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy, and support the organization’s financial reporting and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, experience working in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close Process

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
  
• Prepare financial statements and management reports in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS.
  

Accounting Operations

• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  
• Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking.
  

Audit, Tax & Compliance

• Coordinate annual external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors.
  
• Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and financial analyses.
  
• Assist with corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  
• Support SOX compliance and continuously strengthen internal control processes.
  

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities.
  
• Partner with department leaders to monitor expenses and improve financial efficiency.
  

Requirements

• Bilingual (EN/SP) is a MUST
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP (IFRS knowledge is an asset).
• Experience managing the full month-end and year-end close process.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
