We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician with strong knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery. The technician will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction/mining equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair CAT construction and heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and skid steers.
- Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmissions, and powertrains.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, component replacements, and equipment rebuilds.
- Use CAT Electronic Technician (CAT ET), SIS, diagnostic tools, and service manuals.
- Complete field-service and shop repairs as required.
- Document repairs, parts used, labor hours, and inspection findings.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and company safety procedures.
- Communicate equipment status and repair recommendations to supervisors and customers.

Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience repairing CAT or comparable heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains.
- Experience using CAT ET or similar diagnostic software preferred.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve mechanical problems.
